About the role
NCR Atleos, headquartered in Atlanta, is a leader in expanding financial access. The Customer Engineer 1 (CE1) in the Worldwide Customer Services organization owns customer incidents, performing minor repairs, component replacements, and first-line maintenance on Tier I equipment such as PCs, POS systems, ATMs, and kiosks. Based in India (APAC) and working virtually, the role also handles site preparation, equipment staging, and preventative maintenance, resolving issues or escalating them to meet SLA requirements.
What you’ll do
- Own and resolve assigned customer incidents, escalating to the proper associate, team member, territory manager, or Control Tower as needed
- Perform minor repairs and replace components on Tier I equipment including PCs, workstations, peripherals, printers, front-end POS systems, ATMs, kiosks, and single pocket proof encoders
- Assist in site preparation, including cable installation, equipment staging, and minor equipment testing
- Perform modular swaps, unit replacements, and preventative maintenance services
- Build working relationships with customers and maintain informal communication channels at the local branch, store, or office level
- Understand and perform SLA requirements, elevating or escalating issues according to established procedures
- Communicate with Service/Installation Coordinators, customers, and the Control Tower throughout service activities
- Maintain appropriate parts inventory and parts record keeping, and manage NCR assets used in service delivery
What you’ll bring
- Valid driver's license
- Cleared background check and drug screen
- Ability to work nights, weekends, overtime, flex shifts, and on-call shifts
- High school diploma
- A+ Certification (preferred)
- College degree or certificate in electronics or computer technology (preferred)
- One year of college-level courses, equivalent military training, or electronics/computer training at a recognized trade school (preferred)
- Job-related experience in electronic or electromechanical devices (preferred)
