About the role

F5 Digital is building an enterprise-scale Agentic AI platform to enable secure, observable, production-grade AI agents across the organization. The Principal AI Software Development Engineer designs and implements scalable agent orchestration frameworks, integrates Gemini and Vertex AI, and creates reusable SDKs and reference implementations for high-code agents in Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript. Works within the AI platform team to establish engineering standards, observability, safety, and governance for AI workflows. Hyderabad and Bangalore, hybrid (3 days onsite), relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement enterprise-grade agent orchestration frameworks
  • Integrate Gemini models via Vertex AI and develop internal SDKs
  • Build reference implementations for high-code agents in multiple languages
  • Establish standards for agent lifecycle, security, and observability
  • Create logging, tracing, and evaluation pipelines for AI workflows
  • Guide engineering teams in adopting AI platforms and best practices
  • Optimize inference latency, cost, and scalability of agent systems
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce governance

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years software engineering
  • Expertise in Python and Go/Java/TypeScript
  • Production experience with LLM-based systems
  • Experience with Vertex AI, Gemini or OpenAI APIs
  • Strong background in distributed systems and microservices
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures
  • Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval strategies
  • Experience building orchestration frameworks like LangChain
