About the role

Weekday AI Client team builds cutting‑edge AI platforms that power intelligent agents and generative AI services. The Principal Software Engineer designs and scales backend systems, microservices, and inference pipelines to deploy large language models in production. Bengaluru, India, on-site, 10+ years experience, senior level role.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop scalable backend systems, microservices, and APIs for AI‑driven applications
• Architect distributed infrastructure for high‑throughput AI workloads and agent coordination
• Integrate and deploy trained models into production environments
• Build and maintain real‑time and batch inference pipelines
• Develop AI agent frameworks using orchestration technologies and LLMs
• Implement Model Context Protocol servers for agent communication
• Optimize RAG pipelines with vector databases
• Contribute to MLOps and DevOps initiatives including CI/CD, monitoring, and autoscaling

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Expertise in Python for AI applications
• Hands‑on with LLMs and Generative AI
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and async programming
• Experience building AI agents with LangChain or similar
• Proficiency with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
