About the role

Safety and Health Engineering (SSHE) team at Quest Global drives safety excellence across oil & gas projects. The Lead Engineer steers a team of 5‑8 engineers, shaping safety programs, risk assessments, and incident management while overseeing OIMS and safety management systems. Based in Bengaluru, on-site work model, with responsibility for strategic safety direction and mentorship.

What you’ll do

• Lead a team of 5‑8 engineers in safety program development
• Define and implement safety management systems and OIMS processes
• Conduct HAZOP, LOPA, and risk assessments using PHAST and other tools
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for high‑potential incidents
• Mentor staff, provide performance feedback, and develop capability plans
• Collaborate with functional managers to set SSHE goals and deliverables
• Manage project delivery ensuring on‑time, on‑budget quality outcomes
• Build customer relations through responsive communication

What you’ll bring

• B.E/B.Tech/BS in Chemical, Petroleum, Fire & Safety, or Mechanical
• 12-18 years experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical LNG industry

Nice to have

• CCPSC certification or professional Process Safety certification
• NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety
