About the role
EHS Department at Larsen & Toubro Ltd. ensures workplace safety and environmental compliance across its manufacturing sites. The Senior EHS Engineer develops and implements EHS management systems, conducts risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, and leads training programs for staff and contractors. Based in Pithampur, India, this role is onsite with a hybrid work model as needed for field inspections.
What you’ll do
- Establish and enforce EHS requirements at the workplace
- Oversee safety shift operations and vehicle circulation planning
- Conduct periodic site inspections and report findings
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain safety SOPs and risk assessments
- Lead training initiatives for staff, visitors, and subcontractors
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and fire safety plans
- Report EHS performance to project management
What you’ll bring
- 5-6 years EHS experience
- Proficiency in safety standards and IMS/EHS manuals
- Ability to develop SOPs and risk assessments
- Experience conducting HIRA and incident investigations
- Design and deliver safety training programs
- Manage emergency preparedness and response plans
- Monitor environmental aspects and waste management
- Prepare regulatory reports for PCB board
