Release Train Engineer

About the role

The Release Train Engineer at Iris Software drives end-to-end delivery outcomes for mission-critical technology initiatives across enterprise clients in financial services, healthcare, transportation & logistics, and professional services. Day-to-day, you own feature and initiative progress from discovery to delivery, manage cross-squad dependencies, risks, and impediments, lead stakeholder alignment across business, technology, and risk teams, and drive delivery governance, reporting, and compliance while improving Agile maturity and translating objectives into executable delivery plans. Based in Gurugram, India.

What you’ll do

• Own delivery outcomes to ensure timely, quality progress of features and initiatives from discovery to delivery
• Manage dependencies, risks, and impediments across squads
• Lead stakeholder engagement to align business, technology, and risk teams on outcomes
• Drive delivery governance, reporting, and compliance
• Ensure clear accountability across teams rather than centralizing it to leadership
• Improve delivery efficiency, processes, and Agile maturity
• Translate ideas and objectives into executable delivery plans

• Strong delivery leadership
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Proven ability to manage cross-team dependencies and risk
• Strong technology understanding across platforms, architecture, and SDLC
• Experience with governance, reporting, and compliance frameworks
• Ability to drive accountability at squad/team level
• Experience working with AI tools, specifically Cursor
• Agile/Scrum proficiency including ceremonies facilitation, metrics & reporting, and estimation techniques
