The Associate Project Engineer supports engineering activities across project sizes, performing survey work, design tasks, and data collection while ensuring compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards. Bangalore, India, on-site role with 70-80% travel across India.
What you’ll do
- Perform survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks
- Exercise judgment on limited details and prepare project documentation
- Assist customers on technical issues and interact with contacts, contractors, and staff
- Support communication for specific assignments or meetings
- Participate in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes
- Collect data and support production of engineering design
What you’ll bring
- 3-7 years experience in Load Management Systems, Control & Automation, software development, testing, installation, and commissioning of High Power Rectifier Systems and Rectifier Transformers
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related Engineering disciplines
- Highly skilled in ABB 800xA Platform, Rectifier Control Systems, and industrial automation solutions
- Solid knowledge of ABB 800xA, Control Builder, SCADA, RTU, Power Management Systems, and protocols IEC61850, OPC, Modbus, Modbus TCP/IP
- Passionate about developing and optimizing PMS and Rectifier libraries with hands‑on IED engineering experience
- Comfortable with 70-80% Pan‑India travel and strong English communication skills
