About the role
Process Automation business in ABB Energy Industries division builds smart, lean solutions for power management. The Associate Project Engineer designs and executes low‑to‑medium complexity engineering tasks, prepares project documentation, and supports change management and supplier coordination. Works on Power Management System projects in Bangalore with a hybrid model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
What you’ll do
- Act as design authority for assigned engineering discipline
- Prepare work plans, cost estimates, and project documentation
- Support contract manager with scope, cost, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with supply chain to evaluate technical supplier proposals
- Assign tasks and coordinate entry‑level engineers and technicians
What you’ll bring
- 2 years engineering experience with Power Management Systems
- Hands‑on design of substation network architecture
- Knowledge of IEC 61850, OPC, Modbus, DNP3, TCP/IP protocols
- Experience configuring controllers and protocol gateways
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
