Senior BIM Technician

About the role

Bridges team at WSP Bengaluru builds detailed structural drawings for bridge projects, primarily in Sweden. The Senior BIM Technician leads preparation of engineering drawings using Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and Microstation, ensuring compliance with WSP CAD/BIM standards and quality controls. The role collaborates with the Sweden team to set priorities, automate routines, and develop templates, while maintaining document control and quality assurance. Hybrid work model with on‑site presence in Bengaluru and remote coordination with international partners.

What you’ll do

• Prepare detailed bridge drawings
• Lead BIM/CAD standard implementation
• Create and maintain software templates
• Automate productivity routines
• Provide quality control
• Coordinate with Sweden team on priorities
• Develop BIM documentation workflows
• Maximize project utilization

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years CAD/BIM experience
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures – Concrete
• Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation
• Knowledge of 3D reinforcement
• Diploma in CAD or Bachelor’s Degree

Nice to have

• EngTech registration with ICE UK or equivalent
• Experience in bridge design
• Strong communication and cultural awareness
• Self‑motivation and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to enforce BIM standards
