About the role
Senior Technical Advisor leads cost-competitive execution, develops cost-effective solutions, reviews scope documents, sets up projects with control-level schedules, manages large teams, mentors engineers, delivers technical training, reviews estimates and forecasts, tracks material quantities, prepares requisitions, evaluates offers, performs complex calculations and Power System Studies using ETAP/SKM, applies local statutes, and forecasts staff effort.
What you’ll do
- Lead cost-competitive execution and develop cost-effective solutions
- Review Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, baseline docs
- Set up projects, develop control-level schedules, progress reports, close-out
- Manage and lead large teams
- Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and senior designers
- Deliver technical training on engineering topics
- Review estimates, schedules, progress reports, workforce forecasts
- Manage performance of project/department personnel
- Track material key quantities, provide analysis and forecasts
- Review specifications, design criteria
- Prepare material requisition, evaluate offers, TBE
- Vendor drawing review, attend FAT
- Perform complex engineering calculations, Power System Studies using ETAP/SKM
- Apply local statutes and guidelines
- Advanced knowledge of discipline codes, standards, material costs
- Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting
What you’ll bring
- Design power distribution schemes and SLDs for large industrial projects
- Expert in MV/LV Switchgears, transformers, UPS
- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 proficiency
- Communicate with management, clients, vendors, stakeholders
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- 20+ years experience in Oil & Gas/industrial projects
