About the role
Piping Designer on SSOE’s Advanced Technology team, building high‑tech facility designs for global clients. Day‑to‑day work includes creating Revit models, BIM coordination, and detailed piping, HVAC, and mechanical system drawings. Mumbai, India, Hybrid work model with evening hours to sync with US teams.
What you’ll do
- Produce technical project plans, specs, drawings, and models
- Create and maintain Revit models for mechanical systems
- Coordinate BIM clash detection with multi‑discipline teams
- Lead design of piping, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Collaborate with engineers for load calculations and equipment sizing
- Facilitate design reviews and RFIs
- Maintain model quality per BIM execution plans
- Support project managers and stakeholders
What you’ll bring
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years BIM coordination experience
- Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks
Nice to have
- Experience with HVAC design standards (ASHRAE, NFPA)
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (chillers, boilers, pumps)
