About the role
Quest Global Engineering team designs and builds piping systems for oil and gas projects. The role creates and verifies CAD designs, 3D models, and detailed layouts while ensuring compliance with international codes and project specifications. Works onsite at Coimbatore or Bengaluru, hybrid schedule with on‑site presence as required.
What you’ll do
- Develop and review piping design CAD files and 3D models
- Interpret project specifications, PFDs, P&IDs, and vendor data
- Create layout plans, pipe rack and support drawings
- Generate isometric drawings, material take‑offs, and general arrangement documents
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and client requirements
- Support fabrication, erection, and installation phases
- Maintain project documentation and revision control
- Assist in on‑the‑job training of junior staff
What you’ll bring
- 4-8 years piping design experience
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency with CADD software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D)
- Knowledge of international codes and standards
- Experience with P&ID, plot plans, and 3D modeling
- Ability to produce isometric drawings and bill of materials
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Mentor junior designers
