The Applied Scientist II leads scientific direction, mentors a team of scientists, and partners with product and engineering to deliver production‑grade ML solutions that improve delivery reliability and reduce cost. Gurugram, India, on‑site, hybrid schedule with occasional remote days.
What you’ll do
- Set scientific vision and roadmap for ML solutions in transportation planning
- Guide model design across tree‑based, deep learning, LLMs, and reinforcement learning techniques
- Ensure models are production‑ready, scalable, and robust through stakeholder partnership
- Mentor applied scientists and drive career development
- Own end‑to‑end business metrics impacting customer experience and cost
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years building models for business applications
- PhD or Master's with 4+ years in CS, CE, ML or related field
- Publications or patents in top‑tier conferences or journals
- Proficient in Java, C++, Python
- Strong algorithms, data structures, numerical optimization, parallel computing
