CAE Analyst NVH
About the role
Vehicle NVH Engineering Team at Tata Technologies focuses on reducing road noise and vibration through advanced CAE simulations. The CAE Analyst conducts full vehicle NVH analyses, builds and meshes BIW and trim models using ANSA, runs solvers like NASTRAN/Optistruct/META, and validates results to identify issues and propose design solutions. Works onsite in Pune, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver detailed reports and recommendations.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute NVH simulation studies for full vehicle and component models
- Create high‑quality meshes and set up load cases using ANSA and related tools
- Run solver analyses (NASTRAN, Optistruct, META) and process results for noise, vibration, and harshness
- Validate simulation outcomes, identify root causes, and recommend design improvements
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and client stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate NVH considerations into vehicle development
- Mentor junior engineers and guide team efforts on NVH projects
- Ensure compliance with modeling standards and quality criteria
What you’ll bring
- 5-10 years automotive NVH CAE experience
- 6000+ hours CAE pre‑post and solver work using ANSA/NASTRAN/Optistruct/META
- Full vehicle road noise simulation expertise
- Experience with BIW and trim body system modeling and meshing
- Proficiency in LDS, FRF, modal analysis and vibro‑acoustic post‑processing
- Strong knowledge of NVH concepts, finite element analysis, and basic crash/durability
- Ability to lead a small team of 3+ engineers
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering
