Senior Software Quality Engineer, Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

Quest Global's Semiconductor Equipment team drives reliability and performance of cutting‑edge automation solutions. The Senior Software Quality Engineer defines test strategies, builds automated frameworks, and validates SECS/GEM communication across the software lifecycle. Bengaluru, India, on-site role focusing on semiconductor equipment software quality and mentorship of junior QA engineers.

What you’ll do

• Define and execute comprehensive test strategies for equipment software
• Design, develop and maintain automated and manual test frameworks
• Validate software functionality, communication protocols and automation workflows
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners and program managers throughout SDLC
• Create detailed test plans, cases and perform functional, integration, regression and system testing
• Identify, track and drive resolution of defects, performing root‑cause analysis
• Participate in FAT/SAT and production release validation
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality best practices

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years in software quality engineering, semiconductor equipment domain
• Hands‑on experience with SECS/GEM and GEM300 standards
• Developed and maintained automated test frameworks using C#, Java or Python
• Proficient with test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration with global teams
