About the role
KBR IT Software Development team seeks a Software Tester to support global business units by developing and testing web-based systems. The role involves creating test specifications, executing functional tests, and providing technical guidance to junior personnel. This full-time position is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
What you’ll do
- Create and maintain test scripts for functionality and performance
- Define and report test metrics to support project decisions
- Develop functional test cases and scenarios with stakeholders
- Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced test personnel
- Produce formal test specifications and technical documentation
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expertise in SQL and tools like Toad for ad hoc queries
- Experience testing Web Interfaces, Data-Load Interfaces, and Reports
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps
