The role handles disaster recovery planning, storage upgrades, data migration, replication, and documentation across IBM, EMC, and HDS hardware. Based in Bangalore, India, this is an on-site position requiring 10+ years of experience in mainframe storage administration.

What you’ll do

• Manage and monitor DASD and tape storage infrastructure
• Plan and execute disaster recovery drills and configurations
• Perform storage product upgrades and configuration changes
• Develop documentation for storage environment and procedures
• Conduct data migrations and replication across mainframe systems
• Configure tape replication, grid, and copy export technologies
• Collaborate with vendors on storage hardware and third‑party tools
• Create RFPs and proposals for client storage solutions

What you’ll bring

• 10-15 years mainframe storage experience
• Hands‑on with DASD and tape environments (DFSMS, HSM, RMM, VSAM)
• Disaster recovery planning and testing
• Experience with 3rd‑party storage tools (FDR, CA‑1, EMC)
• System z storage data migration and replication (TDMF, FDRPAS, PPRC)
• Setup of tape replication and grid technologies
• Knowledge of storage hardware subsystems (IBM, EMC, HDS)
• Proficiency in REXX, CLIST, DFSORT, ISPF (SAS preferred)
