Senior CAD Engineer

About the role

Physical Design Methodology and Operations team at NVIDIA builds and runs the infrastructure that powers semiconductor design flows across global datacenters. The Senior CAD Engineer designs large‑scale coordination mechanisms, modernizes legacy Perl/Python services, and creates web interfaces for EDA tool configuration while mentoring junior engineers. Bengaluru, India (Hybrid) with additional location in Hyderabad, India.

What you’ll do

• Design and support mechanisms for coordinating large‑scale semiconductor design tasks across global datacenters
• Own architecture of platform components, defining interfaces, data models, and service boundaries
• Lead modernization of legacy services, evaluating Perl and Python backends and driving migration
• Debug and improve production services spanning web browsers, containerized microservices, and bare‑metal Linux hosts
• Build and enhance web interfaces for configuring, launching, and analyzing EDA tools and design flows
• Mine and analyze large datasets of job execution telemetry to improve flows and catch regressions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design reviews and technical standards

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or computer systems engineering
• 5+ years software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python and/or Perl
• Experience with JavaScript and web technologies
• Experience with distributed systems at scale
• Strong software architecture and design skills
• Comfort owning and debugging Linux‑based production services
