Manager, Tech Quality Assurance

About the role

GALE is the world’s first and only Business Agency, bringing business strategy to brand storytelling to drive enterprise value across strategy, media, CRM, creative, performance marketing, and technology. As Manager, Tech Quality Assurance in Bengaluru, you will own the automation strategy, lead and mentor a QA team, and bring a quality engineering mindset to UI, API, and data validation work. You will actively explore and adopt AI tools to accelerate test design, script generation, defect analysis, and visual validation while collaborating with developers, product owners, and delivery leads. The role is hybrid, with office presence in Bengaluru an essential function of the job.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, driving quality across one or more delivery models
• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and data validation
• Write and review test strategies, test plans, and test cases from requirements and user stories, not just from builds
• Actively explore and adopt AI tools to accelerate test design, script generation, defect analysis, and visual validation
• Use AI-assisted approaches to keep pace with fast-moving, AI-driven development cycles
• Own regression strategy using risk-based and intelligent approaches rather than brute-force testing
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and delivery leads
• Share quality insights in a way that makes sense to the business

What you’ll bring

• 8–10 years of QA/SDET experience with at least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium, with Python preferred
• Solid API testing experience using Postman, REST-assured, or scripted API validation
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar
• Actively using AI tools in QA workflows (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) for test generation, script scaffolding, or defect pattern analysis
• Awareness of where AI helps in QA and where human judgment still leads
• Strong understanding of QA processes including SDLC, defect lifecycle, test strategy, and risk-based testing
• Ability to automate quickly so frameworks are ready when new builds drop

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing tools such as Locust, JMeter, or k6
• Exposure to visual regression or accessibility testing
• Experience working in a multi-client, agency, or media and marketing technology environment
• Exposure to CMS platforms like Contentful or WordPress
