Piping Engineering Detailing

About the role

Engineering Design Team at Quest Global focuses on detailed piping engineering for power plant and oil & gas projects. The role designs and reviews piping, tubing, and support systems, creates arrangement drawings and BOMs, and ensures compliance with ASME/ANSI/API standards using NX tools. Bengaluru, India, on-site, 40‑hour week, with coordination across cross‑functional teams and ownership of design decisions.

What you’ll do

• Develop detailed piping and tubing designs and associated BOMs
• Create and review arrangement drawings aligned with P&ID schematics
• Perform selection and calculation of piping supports and structural requirements
• Ensure compliance with EN, ASME, ISO standards throughout design process
• Coordinate with tech leads, chief engineers, suppliers, and other functional teams
• Manage design ownership, cost, feasibility, and fabrication considerations
• Utilize NX tools for modeling, routing, and drafting modules
• Plan tasks, execute deliverables on schedule, and maintain quality

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years piping detailed design experience
• Hands‑on NX modeling/assembly and drafting
• Expertise with ASME/ANSI/API standards
• Experience with accessories schematics (P&ID) and instrument systems
• Selection of piping, tubing, fittings and support calculations
• Knowledge of GE gas turbine components and skid design
• Ability to prepare Mod Kit, field modification instructions, and engineering change requests
• Strong coordination with cross‑functional teams
