About the role
Barry-Wehmiller Controls Engineering Team builds automation solutions for high-speed manufacturing. The Senior Engineer designs control systems, programs PLCs and SCADA, diagnoses issues, and commissions equipment. Based in Chennai, India, the role is on-site with occasional travel.
What you’ll do
- Create automation control systems
- Diagnose automation problems
- Configure software/hardware
- Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Rockwell Studio 5000)
- Program drives (Powerflex, Kinetix)
- Handle PLC/SCADA conversion
- Communicate progress to stakeholders
- Manage project deliverables
- Validate and commission systems
