About the role
Control Automation team at GE Vernova designs and delivers HVDC control and protection systems. The Senior Control Automation Engineer leads technical solutions, defines architecture, integrates HMI/SCADA, and ensures cybersecurity across projects. Works hybrid from Noida and Pallavaram, India, collaborating with cross‑functional engineering groups.
What you’ll do
- Lead technical solution design for HVDC control & protection
- Define, develop, integrate, and validate HMI/SCADA systems
- Own architecture of control system, communication networks, and cybersecurity
- Lead IEC 61850 implementation, testing, and deployment
- Develop and review network architecture and security requirements
- Provide technical guidance and mentor engineering teams
- Support customer interfaces, technical discussions, and training
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across NPI, ITO, OTR, and Product Care
What you’ll bring
- 15 years experience in control and protection system design
- Strong background in HMI software configuration (Zenon COPA‑DATA or Panorama‑CODRA)
- Extensive experience with cybersecurity implementation and network hardening
- Expertise in IEC 61850 and industrial communication protocols
- Knowledge of power systems, substation automation, and digital control
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and virtualization
