About the role

Lead Quality Assurance at Glean is a pivotal role focused on building and scaling the company's test automation ecosystem. The QA Lead will design robust frameworks, create reusable test libraries, and implement performance and monitoring solutions that integrate seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines. They will champion new testing technologies—visual, accessibility, security, and AI‑assisted testing—while mentoring a growing team of QA engineers. The position requires deep expertise in Python or Java, modern automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress, and strong cloud and container skills. The ideal candidate will also bring experience with API testing, performance testing, and synthetic data generation, and will drive shift‑left testing practices with development teams. Glean values a customer‑obsessed mindset, and the QA Lead will help maintain high quality standards across product areas, ensuring reliable, maintainable, and fast test execution.

What you’ll bring

• 6-9 years of software testing with focus on automation
• Expert in Python or Java programming
• Deep knowledge of test framework architecture
• Proficient with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, API testing
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments
• Strong cloud platform skills: AWS, GCP
• Performance testing and tooling expertise
• Track record of creating reusable testing tools
• Understanding of automation patterns and anti-patterns
