About the role
Amazon Stores AppSec team secures the wide‑range of services powering Amazon Stores, from ecommerce to machine‑learning pipelines. As a Security Engineer II you will conduct secure code reviews, build security automation tools, create threat models, and collaborate with developers to embed security into new services. What you’ll do
- Create and maintain threat models for software projects
- Perform manual and automated secure code reviews
- Develop security automation tools and scripts
- Conduct adversarial security analysis
- Provide security guidance to development teams
- Identify and mitigate security issues at scale
- Influence security processes and priorities across teams
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years application security experience
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or Information Security
- Secure code review in Java, Python, JavaScript
- Threat modeling and security design review
- Understanding of AWS and cloud security
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
