Global Senior Equity Specialist, Payroll

About the role

The Global Senior Equity Specialist, Payroll administers and manages global equity compensation programs (RSUs, stock options, Tokens), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless employee experience. Day-to-day work includes managing equity award lifecycles, partnering with Payroll, HR, Finance, Legal, and vendors on tax withholding and reporting, reconciling transactions, supporting audits, and driving process automation. This is a full-time, remote role based in Bengaluru, India.

What you’ll do

  • Administer global equity programs (RSUs, stock options, Tokens, etc.) and manage the administration of equity awards
  • Handle registration for required countries, process inputs from customers, and manage customer inquiries through the ticketing system
  • Maintain equity data in systems (GWP - Proprietary system)
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate tax withholding and reporting for equity events and support global tax compliance related to equity compensation
  • Reconcile equity transactions with payroll and finance systems
  • Ensure compliance with local and global regulatory requirements and support audits (internal, external, SOC if applicable)
  • Prepare reports for cross-functional teams and customers
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate equity processes, develop and maintain SOPs, and improve controls to reduce manual work

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in equity administration, stock plan administration, or compensation operations
  • Strong understanding of equity award types (RSUs, stock options, Tokens)
  • Knowledge of taxation of equity compensation (US and/or global)
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and integration points
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance frameworks (SOC preferred)
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation
  • Experience supporting global/multi-country equity programs
  • Experience in a high-growth or scaling organization
  • Experience in EOR/PEO models and cross-border payroll operations
  • Exposure to audit frameworks and control design/testing (e.g., SOC)
