About the role
Mechanical Engineering team at Enphase Energy designs next‑generation energy technologies. The Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer – Thermals leads end‑to‑end thermal architecture, cooling strategy, and safety design for utility‑scale BESS cabinets and containers, performing CFD analysis, DFMEA, and supplier reviews to deliver compliant, cost‑effective solutions. Bangalore office, on‑site 5 days per week, hybrid not offered.
What you’ll bring
- 12+ years mechanical/thermal engineering experience
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering
- Expertise in thermal and CFD simulation tools (Icepak, Fluent, COMSOL, FLACS)
- Experience with BESS thermal architecture and safety compliance (UL 9540, NFPA 68/69)
- Proven DFMEA and root‑cause analysis leadership
- Supplier selection and technical design review experience
- Design for high‑ambient, high‑altitude, corrosive environments
- Mentorship and technical leadership of senior engineers
