Senior Software Architect

About the role

Verisk Analytics seeks a Senior Software Architect in India to lead the design of cloud-native AWS solutions for the insurance industry. This hands-on role involves defining architectural standards, mentoring engineering teams, and building scalable microservices and SaaS products. The position operates on a hybrid work model.

What you’ll do

• Lead architecture and development of cloud-hosted web applications
• Define architectural standards and best practices for AWS SaaS
• Architect microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS
• Design RESTful/GraphQL APIs focusing on performance and scalability
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
• Mentor development teams on architecture and code quality
• Ensure security best practices including IAM and encryption
• Champion cloud-native principles and serverless architectures

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field; Master’s preferred
• 8+ years progressive software engineering experience
• 2+ years in an AWS cloud-native architect role
• Strong expertise in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Core
• Experience with serverless architectures (Lambda, Step Functions)
• Proficiency with SQL and AWS data solutions (Redshift, Aurora)

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, Kafka)
• Knowledge of insurance industry platforms and compliance
