Senior Specialist, Payroll Implementation & Integration

About the role

Payroll Implementation Team at Mastercard drives strategic payroll initiatives, including M&A integrations and Workday modernization. The Senior Specialist coordinates testing, validates payroll data, and supports system deployments across payroll operations. Based in Pune, India, on-site work model.

What you’ll do

• Support payroll workstreams during mergers, acquisitions, and restructures
• Coordinate employee data collection, validation, and migration
• Execute end-to-end payroll testing including SIT, UAT, and regression
• Develop and maintain test scripts and process documentation
• Collaborate with Payroll Operations, Benefits, and Technology teams
• Monitor project tasks, risks, and issues
• Assist with post-go-live stabilization and issue resolution
• Contribute to payroll implementation playbooks and best practices

What you’ll bring

• 3-5 years payroll implementation experience
• Experience with payroll system implementations or upgrades
• Understanding of payroll processes, controls, and compliance
• Experience with testing methodologies and issue management
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
• Experience supporting M&A integrations
• Experience with Workday, ADP, or other payroll platforms
• Knowledge of payroll compliance, tax, benefits, and time management
