About the role
WSP India's Buildings Mechanical Electrical Public Health (MEP) business is establishing a MEP Design Capacity in Noida, adhering to WSP Global standards and promoting technical excellence. The Associate, Public Health will design engineering building services, coordinate with design teams, manage project briefs, deliverables, resources, and fees, and ensure quality and compliance with regulations. The role also involves recruiting, leading, and developing a team of engineers to stimulate growth in a technically demanding environment. Based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, the position follows a Hybrid Work Model.
What you’ll do
- Liaise with WSP in India design teams to ensure essential role elements are completed.
- Agree and confirm the project brief to anticipate and identify needs and expectations.
- Agree project deliverables and programme.
- Agree the resource in India required to undertake designs to complete the project brief in time and cost.
- Agree project fees according to brief, resource required, and programme.
- Be responsible for the quality of detailed design to WSP in India and Global Building Regulations standards, ensuring technical reviews and sign off.
- Ensure designs are co-ordinated with due consideration of Health & Safety, Construction Design Management, and Quality Assurance standards.
- Regularly communicate and update local Indian and wider Global project teams on programme delivery and quality issues using staff utilisation charts and KPI reporting.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in the design of Building Services with significant experience in a similar role or a good track record.
- Proven experience in the design of Engineering Building Services.
- Conversant with technical mechanical or electrical software such as IES, Amtech, Hevacomp, Relux, and Dialux.
- Sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
- Fluent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
- Ideally hold British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
- Possess a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Possess membership to an accredited engineering body.
