About the role

HSBC seeks a DevOps Lead for its Trading Applications team in Pune, India, to support Bloomberg TOMS and Optitrade systems. The role involves acting as an SME for primary trading applications, improving CI/CD practices, and leveraging GenAI tools to enhance engineering outcomes. This on-site position requires deep expertise in Fixed Income products and Agile methodologies.

What you’ll do

  • Act as application SME for Order Management and Primary Trading Systems, providing functional and technical support
  • Provide SME support across the trade lifecycle for Fixed Income products, investigating processing and data issues
  • Own and continuously improve CI/CD, DevOps practices, and tooling to increase delivery throughput
  • Leverage GitHub Copilot and approved GenAI tooling to accelerate engineering and support outcomes
  • Participate in platform improvement initiatives including performance, monitoring, and production stability
  • Consult with business stakeholders to understand objectives and develop user stories with Product Owners
  • Work with engineering and testing teams to map requirements to delivery schedules and ensure test coverage
  • Identify risks and issues early, recommend solutions, and drive remediation through to completion

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years IT experience with Primary Trading applications, specifically Bloomberg TOMS
  • In-depth knowledge of Trade Life Cycle for Fixed Income Products (cash bonds, futures, IRS)
  • Highly experienced working within Agile projects and DevOps methodologies
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools like GitHub Copilot and GenAI

Nice to have

  • Scripting/automation experience with Python, Airflow, or Control-M
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, or Geneos
  • Hands-on experience with RDBMS (SQL) or NOSQL DBs (MongoDB)
  • Knowledge of messaging architectures like JMS, IBM MQ, Artemis, or Solace
