About the role

Rack Lifecycle Team at AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, and operates global data center rack infrastructure. The manager leads a team of data‑center technicians to execute rack landing, cabling, installation and end‑of‑life decommissioning, ensuring safety, security and cost efficiency. Daily duties include coordinating site readiness, driving cross‑team blocker removal, managing inventory and logistics, and reporting KPI performance. Mumbai site, on‑site work model, relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Lead planning and execution of rack installations and structured cabling
• Coordinate site readiness, power, cooling and permit compliance
• Drive cross‑team coordination with DCO, security, supply chain and vendors
• Run daily war rooms, track blockers and provide status updates to leadership
• Manage team staffing, scheduling, coaching and performance
• Maintain CMDB/DCIM records and ensure accurate documentation
• Oversee rack decommissioning processes and asset recovery
• Define and enforce SOPs, metrics and governance frameworks

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years direct people management experience
• 2+ years data‑center engineering or operations experience
• Experience with network cabling, fiber optics and test equipment
• Proven ability to manage complex logistics and supply‑chain risks
• Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional coordination
