Enterprise Data and Governance Analyst

About the role

Data Governance Team at Barclays drives the creation and enforcement of data and records governance frameworks across global operations. The analyst develops and maintains governance policies, monitors data quality, and leads risk mitigation initiatives while producing dashboards and executive reports. Based in Chennai or Pune with an on-site work model, the role collaborates with cross‑functional teams and provides training on governance standards.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain comprehensive data and records governance frameworks
• Monitor data quality and compliance metrics across the organization
• Identify and address data governance risks and gaps
• Create and deliver governance materials, dashboards, and executive reports
• Coordinate senior management forums, agendas, and action tracking
• Provide group‑wide guidance and training on data and records management

What you’ll bring

• Post‑graduation degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
• Experience in governance, risk, controls, assurance or operational risk functions
• Strong understanding of data governance requirements
• Ability to produce high‑quality governance materials and executive reports
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
