About the role
AI Automation Engineer at StockX, a global marketplace for sneakers and consumer goods. Design, build, and scale intelligent automation systems that boost operational efficiency and unlock new capabilities. Work at the intersection of engineering, applied AI, workflow automation, and systems integration. Partner with Engineering, Operations, Product, Data, and Security to transform manual processes into AI-driven, scalable solutions. Deploy LLM-powered automation, build agent-based systems, prompt pipelines, and RAG workflows. Develop autonomous systems that interact with internal tools and APIs, create scalable workflow automation using event-driven architecture, and integrate AI with internal platforms. Write clean, production-ready code, build observability, guardrails, and monitoring, and ensure responsible AI implementation. Continuously refine prompts, workflows, and models while identifying new automation opportunities across the organization.
What you’ll do
- Design & deploy AI-powered automation with LLMs, ML models, decision engines
- Build agent-based systems, prompt pipelines, RAG workflows
- Develop autonomous systems interacting with internal tools/APIs
- Create scalable workflow automation via APIs, event-driven architecture, orchestration
- Integrate AI systems with internal platforms
- Develop reusable automation components and tooling
- Write clean, maintainable production-ready code
- Build observability, logging, guardrails, monitoring
- Ensure reliability, security, responsible AI implementation
- Measure performance impact
- Refine prompts, workflows, models continuously
- Identify new automation opportunities across organization
- Implement guardrails, access controls, safety mechanisms
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies
- Partner with security teams on safe AI deployment
What you’ll bring
- 4+ years software engineering, 2+ years AI/ML/LLM experience
- Strong programming, API integration, distributed systems
- Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), vector DBs, RAG
- Workflow orchestration, cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Problem solving, system thinking
