RPA Developer

About the role

Alcon is seeking an experienced RPA Developer to implement and support enterprise automation solutions using Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Platform. Day-to-day work includes designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable automation solutions, writing complex SQL queries, integrating OCR and Gen AI capabilities, and collaborating with business SMEs to deploy intelligent automation. The role is based in Bangalore, India, follows a 1 PM to 10 PM IST schedule, and includes relocation assistance.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain solutions using an Agile methodology
• Work with databases, including understanding existing queries and writing complex SQL queries
• Develop intelligent automation solutions for complex use cases, including cognitive, hyper automation, and new-age automations like Gen AI
• Support efficiency improvement initiatives, including developing reusable components
• Own assigned activities and proactively manage critical/priority tasks to ensure closure without follow-up
• Assist with operations and maintenance tasks, including bot updates, incident management, documentation, and communication during business-impacting events
• Collaborate with business SMEs to gather requirements, assess automation feasibility, and deploy Intelligent Automation solutions
• Manage multiple tasks, troubleshoot issues, and support both short-term and long-term projects

What you’ll bring

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting solutions built with Automation Anywhere, Microsoft Power Platform, Python, and VB Scripts
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with effective troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in understanding existing code/solutions and making timely enhancements or fixes on an SLA basis
• Strong SQL skills, including understanding existing queries and writing complex queries
• Experience with OCR technologies such as IQBOT, document automation, and Document Intelligence
• Python programming skills and experience working with APIs
• Exposure to solving problems using Gen AI and prompting techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with technical and non-technical stakeholders
