About the role
Evolent Health International’s Pune team drives the financial backbone of the company, ensuring accurate close, lease accounting, and compliance with US GAAP and local regulations. The Staff Accountant works closely with senior leadership to review contracts, manage ASC‑842 lease flags, and automate monthly reporting packs for management. Based in Pune, the role is on‑site with a focus on continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration.
What you’ll do
- Review contracts for ASC‑842 applicability
- Drive accounting ops for Evolent India subsidiary
- Support lease accounting and SOX reviews
- Prepare 10Q/K footnote disclosures
- Build monthly management reporting packs
- Automate reporting and analytics
- Assist with ad‑hoc accounting matters
- Lead local compliance including tax, GST, and statutory returns
What you’ll bring
- Chartered Accountant or CPA
- 1-3 years experience with Big 4 audits or reputable finance team
- Proficiency in ASC‑842 lease accounting
- Strong knowledge of Indian tax and GST compliance
- Experience with US GAAP balance sheet reconciliations
- Detail‑oriented with analytical mindset
- Ability to automate reporting and analytics
- Hands‑on with SOX controls
