About the role

The Data Foundation team at Nike builds scalable, secure platforms to power decision-making across the global supply chain. As a Software Engineer III, you design and maintain robust data solutions, optimize pipelines, and develop APIs while mentoring junior engineers. This full-time role is based in Karnataka, India, with a remote work model.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions
• Build and optimize data pipelines ensuring quality and reliability
• Develop SDKs, APIs, and microservices for enterprise data needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and data scientists
• Implement best practices in software development and data governance
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers

What you’ll bring

• 5-7 years of experience in software development
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Deep expertise with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, or Airflow
• Understanding of Lakehouse architecture and Data Mesh principles
• Proficiency with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure management

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of Machine Learning and Generative AI concepts
• Exposure to LLMs and prompt engineering techniques
• Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain or OpenAI APIs
• Understanding of RAG patterns and vector databases
