About the role
Safe is a Series C-funded cybersecurity leader providing AI-driven risk visibility to Fortune 500 clients. This SDET III role leads functional testing efforts, owning quality strategy and test infrastructure while driving AI adoption across the test lifecycle. The position is based in New Delhi as a full-time on-site engagement.
What you’ll do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing engineers responsible for functional testing
- Define and drive functional testing strategy, standards, and best practices across the team
- Own design, build-out, and maintenance of reliable and scalable test infrastructure
- Champion AI use across the test lifecycle, including automated/self-healing test maintenance
- Evaluate, benchmark, and improve accuracy and reliability of AI agents used in testing
- Take ownership of deploying product services to production with appropriate quality gates
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design to align test coverage with business priorities
- Conduct code reviews and troubleshoot complex technical issues
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development Engineering in Test roles
- Strong track record in building and scaling functional, API, and UI test automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience applying AI/LLMs across the test lifecycle for generation, maintenance, and analysis
- Experience standing up and maintaining test infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines in containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go
