Lead Network Engineer

About the role

UKG seeks a Lead Network Engineer in Bangalore, India, to optimize its enterprise hybrid network infrastructure supporting tens of millions of workers. The role involves leading the implementation and management of on-premises and multi-cloud solutions across Azure and GCP. Daily duties include network automation, troubleshooting, and enforcing security baselines. This is an On-site position.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate on design and integration of global network solutions for on-premises and multi-cloud environments
  • Lead end-to-end implementation and daily management of resilient network solutions including SDN
  • Utilize Terraform and Ansible to build and maintain automation scripts for operational tasks
  • Manage network infrastructure lifecycle tasks including capacity planning and upgrades
  • Lead technical troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures
  • Proactively audit network configurations and security protocols to mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Create and maintain low-level designs, operational runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Partner with Engineering, Security, and Cloud Operations teams to resolve cross-functional issues

What you’ll bring

  • 5-7 years experience with Juniper Networks routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, VRF)
  • 5-7 years experience with Cloud Networking on GCP and Azure
  • 5-7 years experience with Palo Alto network firewalls
  • Working experience with Aruba Wireless solutions
  • Understanding of F5 and Google load balancers

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of Terraform and Ansible Automation Platform
  • Expertise in NPM and observability tools like Splunk and ThousandEyes
  • Proficiency in packet analysis using Wireshark for deep-dive troubleshooting
  • Foundational understanding of Agentic AI and Generative AI workflows
