About the role
Quest Global seeks an HVDC HMI Engineer in Noida, India, to design and implement Human Machine Interface screens for power management systems using IEC 61850 standards. The role involves developing SCADA interfaces, creating generic libraries, and validating communication protocols within Next Generation Control Systems. This is a full-time position based on-site in Noida.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement HMI screens for power management and process controls
- Develop and test interfaces between SCADA and data concentrator systems
- Create generic libraries using SCADA environments for external applications
- Produce functional, design, and test specification documents based on customer requirements
- Validate communication interfaces and HMI mimics against engineered SCADA configurations
- Identify technical risks and propose mitigation plans
- Support projects with strict timelines and collaborate with engineering teams
- Configure alarm management, historians, and report generation tools
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation engineering
- Experience with HMI design and SCADA development (Codra Panorama, Copa Data-Zenon)
- Knowledge of industrial protocols: OPCUA/DA, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, TCP/IP
- Understanding of HVDC transmission systems and control concepts
- Ability to validate AC Substation Single line diagrams & Protection diagrams
