About the role
Mission Critical Telecommunication Solutions (MCS) at Hitachi Energy drives global HVDC SCADA and HMI projects. The Project/Tender Engineer designs architecture, develops HMI using AVEVA Intouch, configures MicroSCADA gateways, and supports tender activities and test case execution. Chennai, India, on-site work model.
What you’ll do
- Support global HVDC SCADA & HMI projects
- Design architecture and functional descriptions for SCADA solutions
- Participate in tender activities and customer meetings
- Develop HMI applications using AVEVA Intouch
- Configure gateway servers with MicroSCADA
- Manage IT infrastructure including routers and firewalls
- Prepare and execute test case scenarios
- Ensure compliance with regulations and internal guidelines
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/E&I/E&C
- Knowledge of communication protocols and SCADA/HMI platforms
- Experience with AVEVA Intouch and MicroSCADA
- Networking and security fundamentals
- Familiarity with HVDC systems (preferred)
- Tender support or bidding experience
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong communication and detail orientation
