About the role
Intelligent Infrastructure division at Jabil designs and builds large‑scale production test fixtures for hardware manufacturing. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer creates and validates fixture concepts, performs CAD modeling, stress analysis, and prototype testing while collaborating with customers, vendors, and cross‑functional engineering teams. Based in Ranjangaon, India, on‑site role with occasional travel up to 10%.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop production test fixtures
- Perform CAD modeling and stress analysis
- Create documentation and technical operation manuals
- Validate prototypes against performance and cost targets
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal engineering teams
- Lead project management activities and coordinate with project managers
- Analyze issues and develop engineering solutions
- Support multi‑site, multicultural manufacturing environments
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8-10 years designing jigs and fixtures for PCBA processes
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems and PLCs
- Experience with stress calculations and material selection
- Ability to create and validate prototypes, including 3D printing
- Familiarity with motor systems and robotics
- Travel up to 10%
