About the role

GE HealthCare Mechanical Engineering team designs and develops mechanical components, sub‑assemblies, and systems for medical devices. The Senior Engineer leads concept, detailed design, verification, and manufacturing introduction, mentors junior engineers, and collaborates with global suppliers and cross‑functional teams. Bengaluru, on‑site, relocation assistance provided.

What you’ll do

• Lead planning and development of mechanical components and systems
• Create and approve engineering drawings to GD&T standards
• Perform calculations, develop test plans, and execute verification
• Drive manufacturing process development for metal and plastic parts
• Engage with customers and program teams to align deliverables
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical growth
• Identify cost‑reduction and standardization opportunities
• Support continuous improvement and root‑cause analysis

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years mechanical design experience
• Expertise in GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Cost principles
• Sheet metal, plastic part design, injection molding, casting, machining
• Material selection and reliability knowledge
• Leadership of component/subsystem design projects
• Cross‑functional team collaboration
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
