About the role

Armanino India LLP seeks a Senior Consultant in Finance and Accounting Advisory Services – Operational Accounting. The role involves managing day‑to‑day operational accounting activities, general ledger maintenance, and compliance with internal controls. Responsibilities include driving process improvements, collaborating with external auditors, preparing financial statements under US GAAP, overseeing month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses across multiple entities, and working across accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and QuickBooks. The consultant will lead and manage accounting teams, provide guidance and training, act as a trusted advisor on operational accounting best practices, and foster relationships with cross‑functional teams including FP&A, tax, and treasury. Minimum qualifications include a BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA preferred), at least 2 years of progressive accounting experience, strong background in operational accounting, hands‑on experience with ERP systems, solid understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks, advanced Excel skills, and excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

What you’ll do

  • Experience managing day-to-day operational accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance and compliance with internal controls.
  • Drive process improvements to streamline close timelines and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support audit preparation and respond to audit requests.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial results.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses across multiple entities.
  • Work across multiple accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) and integrate data from various platforms.
  • Lead and manage accounting teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients or internal leadership on operational accounting best practices.
  • Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, tax, and treasury.

What you’ll bring

  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA / CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Controller or similar leadership role.
  • Strong background in operational accounting, including month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple ERP systems (NetSuite, Intacct, etc.) and ability to adapt to new platforms quickly.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (remote and in-person collaboration).
