About the role
Jord International's Engineering department in Vadodara, Gujarat, India, seeks a Process Engineer to support project implementation and foster integration between process and mechanical engineering divisions. Day-to-day work includes process simulations, design calculations, PFD/P&ID preparation, control and safeguarding philosophy, SIL documentation, and vendor document review for gas processing and treatment skids. The role also involves peer review, process improvement recommendations, and commissioning site support.
What you’ll do
- Provide process-related engineering support for all Jord product groups
- Perform conceptual design, basic and detailed engineering for gas processing and treatment skids
- Conduct process simulations on HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PROII and prepare PFDs, P&IDs, PSFS, heat and material balances
- Carry out design calculations, datasheets, hydraulic calculations, PSV sizing, blowdown and depressurization simulations
- Prepare operation, control and safeguarding philosophy, narratives, alarm and trip schedules, cause and effect diagrams, utility and line lists
- Prepare plant operation manuals, safeguarding memoranda, and SIL documentation with Hazop experience
- Prepare equipment procurement specifications and engineering document templates
- Review vendor offers and deliverables for compliance with contractual requirements
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Process or Chemical Engineering
- 5-6 years of similar experience in Instrumentation and Control Systems
- Hands-on experience with HYSYS, PipeSim, FlareNet, TGNet/TLNet, HYSYS Dynamics, HTRI, etc.
- Conversant with International Design Codes such as API, Shell DEPs, ASME
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets, and database software
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with others throughout the organisation
