About the role
Industrial Axle, Transmissions and Railway Business team at ZF drives high‑performance drivetrain solutions. The Supplier Quality Manager leads supplier assessments, audits and cross‑functional coordination to ensure forging, gear and machining parts meet ZF quality standards. Based in Pune, on‑site role focusing on end‑to‑end supplier development and supply chain reliability.
What you’ll do
- Conduct supplier assessments and process audits for forging, gear and machining suppliers
- Ensure compliance with ZF specifications using APQP and PPAP methodologies
- Lead cross‑functional coordination between Indian suppliers and global ZF plants
- Manage supplier selection, technical feasibility and development to meet quality milestones
- Support establishment of reliable supply chain for development and serial production
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years experience in forgings, gears, machining supplier quality
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 standards
- Proficiency with APQP, PPAP, AIAG/VDA FMEA processes
- Experience with 8D, Ishikawa problem‑solving tools
- Project management of supplier development projects
Education
Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering
