About the role

Sabre, an AI-native travel technology leader, seeks a Software Engineer IV to build scalable, cloud-based solutions that power the agentic revolution in travel. Based in Bengaluru, this full-time role involves designing and developing complex software systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Generative AI. The position requires leveraging modern engineering practices to enhance customer experiences and drive business value within a fast-paced Agile environment.

What you’ll do

• Develops, codes, tests, and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing products
• Designs, plans, develops, and improves applications using routine and advanced technology
• Analyzes situations or data requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives to implement strategic policies
• Encourages high coding standards, using best practices and ensuring high quality
• Interacts with supervisors, architects, and product managers on project matters
• Provides technical mentorship and cultural guidance to teams
• Mentors on specific tech stacks and technologies while providing larger business context

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant software development experience
• Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• Proven experience in fast-paced Agile software development environments

Nice to have

• Strong expertise in Core Java and microservices-based application development using Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, including Generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, Hibernate, Apache Kafka, RESTful services, and Oracle databases
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, including exposure to AI/ML services
• Familiarity with software development best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tools
