Database Administrator II

About the role

Technology team at Landmark Group manages enterprise databases supporting retail and hospitality operations. The Database Administrator II ensures high availability, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and incident response for Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL environments. Works on‑site in Bengaluru, India, collaborating with infrastructure and application teams to automate processes and meet strict SLA targets.

What you’ll do

• Maintain database availability ≥99.8% and ensure backup/restore success
• Perform performance tuning and troubleshoot database issues
• Implement and manage HA/DR solutions like Oracle RAC and Data Guard
• Administer cloud database services and monitor performance
• Coordinate change management and incident response per ITIL processes
• Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency
• Collaborate with stakeholders to document processes and capacity forecasts
• Support infrastructure teams on Windows/Linux storage integrations

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4-7 years database administration experience
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Strong SQL and performance tuning skills
• Experience with backup, recovery, HA/DR concepts
• Scripting and automation experience
