Global Category Manager – Warehousing & Packaging

About the role

Global Category Management at FLSmidth leads the strategy and governance for warehousing and packaging across the enterprise. The role defines global category strategy, establishes governance frameworks, drives sourcing initiatives, manages supplier portfolios, and leads cost and packaging optimization to improve performance and customer experience. Based in Bucharest with additional locations in Monterrey and Chennai, this on-site role reports to senior supply chain leadership and offers high visibility across the organization.

What you’ll do

• Define and execute global category strategy for warehousing and packaging
• Establish and implement governance frameworks and category structures
• Drive global sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations
• Build and manage global supplier portfolio
• Lead cost optimization and packaging efficiency projects
• Develop and enforce global standards and policies
• Enable performance management through KPIs and reporting
• Coordinate across regions and advise senior stakeholders

• 7+ years category management or logistics experience
• Strategic sourcing and contract negotiation expertise
• Strong supplier relationship management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to operate in governance-driven environment
