Sr. Global Category Manager

About the role

Hillenbrand’s Mold-Masters business unit seeks a Sr. Global Category Manager to lead strategic procurement for its global supply base. The role involves developing category strategies, optimizing supplier networks, and driving cost mastery through advanced negotiation and sourcing programs. This is a remote position based in Coimbatore, India or Hillenbrand Corporate.

What you’ll do

• Own category-related targets, strategy, and program development for the global spend/supply base
• Model optimum supply base toward market trends, demand requirements, and business objectives
• Define Supply Base preferences, sourcing governance (Category playbook), and Supplier targets
• Maximize supply base agility through Supply Market Making and Alternative Sourcing Programs
• Lead execution of sourcing projects using Advanced Negotiation Concepts at scale
• Develop convincing business cases to ensure stakeholder commitment
• Manage master purchase agreements including amendments for logistics, quality, and sustainability
• Drive cost mastering and supplier development project funnels

What you’ll bring

• Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent
• > 10 years’ experience in Strategic Procurement
• Several years’ experience in global sourcing across European, Asian, and North American markets
• Advanced knowledge of Source-2-Contract processes and Supplier Contract Management

Nice to have

• Master degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent
• Expert level certifications in Lean/Six Sigma, Design to Cost, and Project Management methodologies
• Proficient skills in Business English
• Advanced analytical skills with ability to use IT tools like PowerBI
