About the role
Mechanical Lead on the Semiconductor Precision Systems team, responsible for leading mechanical engineering development of advanced capital equipment, wafer inspection tools, and analytical instrumentation. Drives mechanical architecture, design reviews, and FMEA for nanometer‑tolerance systems while managing a multi‑regional team of engineers. Based in Pune, Maharashtra, India with a hybrid work model (on‑site and remote days).
What you’ll do
- Lead mechanical design and analysis for precision motion systems and vacuum chambers
- Conduct design reviews, FMEA, and tolerance stack‑up analyses
- Manage mechanical engineering teams across Pune, Netherlands, and Singapore
- Define mechanical architecture for multi‑million‑dollar equipment projects
- Coordinate DFM guidelines and assembly validation with manufacturing
- Interface with suppliers for critical components
- Deliver engineering deliverables following V‑model processes
What you’ll bring
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 15+ years precision mechanical design experience
- 8+ years semiconductor industry experience
- Leadership of 5+ mechanical engineers
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA
- Finite element analysis using ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with ultra‑precision motion systems
